Bringing In the New Year

I was invited to attend the lion dance for the celebration of Chinese New Year at Jasmine with some friends.  We arrived early on a rainy day and just about got the last space in the parking lot.  The dance started about 10:30 am and there were a bunch of lions.

I even got a tail shot.  The person in the back actually moves the tail by hand.

The closest lion to our table was the green one (my favorite!) and we fed it money in red envelopes.

We filled up on some dim sum and then ordered a Peking duck which first came with buns.

The rest was taken back and prepared into lettuce cups.

Yum - good food and great fun.
