Chinese New Year - Year of the Rooster

Brunch at Jasmine for the Lucky Lion Dancers.

We came prepared to feed the lions for luck in the coming year with red envelopes full of money.

We sampled a bunch of dim sum dishes and then had lunch of peking duck two ways.

Beef and asparagus.

Greens.

And lobster.

Rooster Pin Cushion

My best friend Val gifted me with this ultra cute pin cushion that she saw at quilt museum in San Diego.

I can't seem to get the hang of those magnetic pin dishes so she figured I could handle a rooster.  I have already pinned him up good!

His beak and comb are made of that foamy plastic.
