Green Chicken and BBQ

This recipe is also from nom nom paleo which I had at Grace's for meat day.  I decided to make it again at home with thighs and drumsticks.

Using the vitamix, all the ingredients were finely blended.  It all went into a ziploc bag for marination overnight in the refrigerator.
I ended up taking the bag over to Eileen's for dinner where she powered up her new grill.
Ribs, steak, mushrooms, beans, and corn rounded out the grill and we had salad to complete the meal.

Perfect Steak

I pulled out a rib eye steak from J & J Grassfed Beef and followed Gordon Ramsey's perfect steak technique.

I used my cast iron skillet and substituted chopped garlic and dried thyme, but the steak was super tasty.
The butter and the constant flipping provided a perfectly cooked steak which I ate over 2 days.  I will definitely use this method again.

Ruth's Chris Steak House

I was invited to try Ruth's Chris Steak House since I have never been.  I was very tempted by the non-steak selections, but decided to have red meat since that is what the place is known for.

The night's special was a surf and turf which I ordered with the rib eye.  The lobster was quite good and the rib eye was succulent with the horseradish cream.
I also added a chopped salad which had a great presentation.
The lobster and about a third of the steak was consumed with the rest in the doggie bag.
The steaks are covered with butter which I did not believe was a problem, but I did have a bit of a stomach upset so I will be need ask for no butter next time.
