Met Andrea for lunch in Hillcrest and tried out Harley Gray. It was cool to sit indoors and face out to the street with the glass walls totally open.
We ordered pomme frites, a seafood trio, and a beet salad.
The fries were very tasty hot out of the kitchen, but lost their crispness after a while. The seafood trio was good except the ceviche was a bit too sour and the beet salad was delicious.

New Scarf
It took a bit of time, but I dressed up the loom for another snowflake scarf. I had wound the warp over a weekend and it sat around for a bit before moving to the loom. Once I had the loom dressed, it was another bit of time to start weaving.
It has been super hot and humid lately whenever I had some time, but once it cooled a bit, I was able to start weaving.
The warp is a variegated blue green and the weft is the mushroom merino/silk blend. Since the warp is predominately alpaca, this one will be going to someone else as well.

French Gourmet Breakfast
Grace and I decided to try breakfast at the French Gourmet before pedicures and invited Irene who was visiting to come along.
The place was not as crowded for a late breakfast at 9am and we ordered a variety of things to try.
Fresh strawberry crepes with nutella which was a bit too sweet for my taste.
Extra crispy bacon and eggs for me.
Farmer's omelet which was the bomb according to Grace and Irene.
We headed to our appointment and had a nice chat and then we took the scenic way through La Jolla on the way to lunch.
