Bailey's Baby

While I have been gone, Bailey is visiting the fun house where there are a ton of dogs.  I was told that he has a supervisor named Dough Dough who prevents him from going outside the line and eating stuff he is not suppose to.  He is even told where to sleep.

However, Yaling is also sitting another dog that Bailey loves.

Bailey just hangs around and follows this girl and licks her all over.  I haven't seen it in action, but Yaling tells me that it is love at first sight.

Cabi Party

I was invited to a Cabi party by Karen.  I had never shopped a clothing party before so it was something new and I knew that the food would be fabulous.  I gathered up my peeps and we headed over the a cute cottage in La Jolla for a fashion show.

The food layout was almost too pretty to eat.

It was a fun time with lots of women trying on different outfits.  The fashion is based on a collection and I did find a sweater to buy.  I'm now on the mailing list for the sample sale.

San Diego and Las Vegas Field Work

I was finally lucky enough to work in my own backyard.  My boss came out for my file review and as luck would have it, my co-worker also came out and provided a second body as well as a food partner.

I drove up and down the coast looking for people and it was mostly successful in that most of my people are still alive and well.

Beautiful scenery at La Jolla Cove where I also bought a tie-dye tank top.

I also got a great view of the bay from Point Loma.

I hosted food at Bistro Kaz, Blaze Pizza, Tom Ham's Lighthouse, and the Thai Burger Company as well as a stop to 85 C Bakery.  Good times and good food.  I still have more work in San Diego so hopefully he will come back and help me again.

I then left for Las Vegas for some follow up searches and meetings around town.  Positive time as it allowed me to meet up and hang with some of the local agents.  I also stayed with Andrea and it was a big night to meet and adopt a new baby.

He was a bit crazy and skittish upon arrival but after the foster people left, he settled down after we ate dinner and was comfortable in Andrea's lap after a hard and stressful day.  She named him Porter.

Block of the Week Progress - Weeks 9 and 10

I'm caught up again with weeks 9 and 10.  I'm really liking the color combination even though it is kink of loud.

Rainbows

New cotton yarn in rainbows.

It will be great with a white warp and tons of rainbow for weft.  Can't wait for an empty loom to start this up.

Thai Burger Company

A new place in the neighborhood is Thai Burger Company.  I guess it started as a food truck and now has a little shop.

There is no seating inside as there is only a standing area in front of a counter to order.  The selection is limited as well, but you have 4 types of "burgers" and appetizers, plus drinks.

The burgers have sticky rice for bread and even though delicious, they are very filling.  We ordered one of each of the burgers except for the vegetarian one.  Chicken, pork, and beef are the size of a regular burger.  I found the beef one the best tasting.  The chicken has a curry flavor and the pork is spicy.

There are also ball skewers which come 4 to a skewer as well as potstickers and fried tofu.  All were good.

Then there are the drinks of thai tea, coffee with or without boba.  A combo for $11.00 has a skewer, a burger, and a drink and for another $2 you can get an upgraded drink with boba.

Yamadaya Ramen

Yaling and I went and had ramen at Yamadaya Ramen which is next door to Little Fat Sheep Hotpot.  It is a funky place with a patio area inside the restaurant and since the weather was nice, we sat out on the patio.

There is a huge board on the wall describing the ramen both preparation.

We ordered the takoyaki balls which are octopus balls which were a bit chewy but very tasty.

We also ordered a salad to share.

Yaling ordered ramen.

And I had the spicy tuna bowl.

Too much to eat so to go boxes arrived.  The ramen broth is very thick and rich. Great new place to have ramen.
