It took quite a while to arrive and we stopped along the way for some lunch and finally arrive late in the evening. We hit pretty heavy traffic in Portland and made a stop at the Costco where we took a little break and spent some money.
After checking into the hotel, we hit downtown Coos Bay and ate at a japanese/chinese restaurant not to far from the hotel. After a couple of weeks eating dinner early, it was shocking to eat dinner after 7:00 pm. It was long day and we retired early.
After checking out of the hotel, we took the scenic drive and took in the beautiful vistas and encountered a large pod of seals. We also made a pit stop at a smaller garden, but it paled in comparison to Buchart Gardens.
