Drizzle Hat

My first finished project of the year is the Drizzle hat.  I had left over yarn from the Hoaloha sweater that seemed perfect for this pattern.  I think I only used a little over half a skein so I might have enough yarn for another hat.

I used US 7 needles and knit the medium size.  This pattern has levels of slouchiness and I'm not a big fan of floppy hats so I stuck to the semi-slouch style.
Some modifications I made to the pattern included disregarding the extra row of knit two stitches together four times since I needed an even number of stitches to start the lace decrease portion.
I also ended up with a different number of stitches at the top of the hat so I did an extra knit two stitches together to get the 8 stitches at the very end.  After pulling a little bit of yarn through those stitches with a tapestry needle, the hat is finished.
After washing and blocking, I think it has just the right amount of slouchiness.
