March Supper Club

Supper club this month was hosted by Amy and she prepared a short rib main dish with a savory sauce with onions and carrots.
The rest of the dinner included:


Cilantro-free salsa with white beans and avocados served with chips.  Kim gave up the appetizer to Debbie so she would not be overwhelmed.  She made to versions - one with garlic and the other following the recipe.
Cook's Illustrated buttermilk mashed potatoes (published 11.2005).  Janet forgot the date so Kim and I had to shop for mashed potatoes to go with dinner so we bought two bags of these.
The frozen potatoes were pretty tasty.
Pierre Franey's marinated green beans.
Cook's Illustrated classic lemon tart (published 1.2000) with their sweet tart pastry (published 1.2000).
Amy invited her friend Debbie who may become a new supper club member.
