Kumihimo
At the weaving guild booth at the Del Mar Fair this year, I handed out a lot of samples of kumihimo disks to fair attendees. Kumihimo is an ancient Japanese braiding technique and you can read more about it here.
I recently purchased a kumihimo loom from Primitive Originals on ebay and here is the kit that I got.
It was really easy to follow the directions and set up the loom. The braiding went really fast and here is the final braid.
I'm ready to dig around my stash for stray pieces of yarn to make some more.
