Infamous Elephant Bar

For the past year or so, my mom has been raving about this Elephant Bar restaurant that is the new favorite place to eat in Sacramento.

Since I was visiting, we decided to go with my aunt instead of my dad since he had a bout of gout.

It was super crowded on a saturday night even at 5:30 pm which I guess means that most people are early diners.
My mom had already had the entrees picked out so I went along with her order.

We started with the calamari appetizer.
My mom and I shared the Pacific Cove Tropical Crab and Shrimp Louie Salad and the Braised Lamb Shanks.  The service was excellent as both entrees were presented separately for each person.
My aunt had the MisoYaki Fire Grilled Salmon which she stated was delicious.
The raves are justified as it was a great meal.

  1. It's a chain and there are several in SoCal (OC, IE and LA) if you want to get another fix. We haven't gone yet.
