October Supper Club

Kim hosted supper club this month and the menu came from Epicurious

Kim made the Mustard-Seed-Crusted Pork Medallions with Red Wine Sauce which was delicious.  She stated that she had a hard time finding mustard seeds and had to break down and go to Whole Foods.

I made the Semolina and Spinach Gratin which was a new experience since I have never made my own pasta mash.
We commented that even though we only had two things on our plate, it encompassed the protein, starch, and vegetable.
Janet was to make the Three-Cheese Fondue with Champagne, but she was sick and could not make it.

We instead had some tomato soup which was a little spicy and we added some yogurt to tone down the heat and add some thickener.  The soup was leftovers that Kim had and I got to take some home with me since they are leaving on vacation.
Amy rounded out the meal with dessert.  She had just come back from a trip that day and she had a pass to bring store bought but she was able to make these delicious pear, cherry and pine nut tartlets.
