April Block of the Month

For the April installment of Craftsy's Block of the Month, the theme was Fan Block but there were lessons of curves as well as appliqué.

I was not fully successful on the curved pieces and I wished I had a supply of freezer paper for the patterns.  Freezer paper can be traced and then ironed directly on the fabric which sticks for cutting precision.  Val had some when I was making the curve for my purse the last time I was in Colorado visiting.

I used most fabrics from my Alaska quilt and used a pink/yellow flower fabric for the center appliqué.  I used a curved stitch from my Janome machine.
