My aunt sent me a link to a video about camouflaging cephalopods and it is the coolest thing I have ever seen.
I have never seen anything like this in the wild and confess I'm rarely in the water so the likelihood that I would see it is nil. Good to know other are out there and filming.
Anyways, the day that I saw this video, my friend lovechild came to visit and she is so talented that she made me my own cephalopod in my favorite color - green.
She hand spun the yarn and it is the coolest thing I have seen. The tentacles are made with pipe cleaners so they can be articulated. She even painted the eyes to make the 'pod' super realistic.
Super cool!
So Cute!
