This week, Margaret Tyler demonstrated spinning flax. Flax is a plant fiber and you may know it by its other names after it has been spun - linen. The fiber was very coarse and has an extremely long staple length.
In the video, you can see her distaff which is mounted on a camera tripod. It is amazing what kinds of equipment can be repurposed for spinning and other fiber crafts.
