New Spinning Project

I received my latest pattern in the Two Towers series from Sunflower Designs and decided to spin the lace weight yarn for it.


The Mere is an organic stole in beaded lace and is based on "The Mere of Dead Faces" where Frodo and Sam cross on their way to Mordor.


I have some merino/silk 70/30 Ashland Bay fiber in the MacKensie color way.

I have 8/0 Noir Lined Crystal AB Miyuki seed beads on order from a sale at Goody Beads.


I'm spinning this lace yarn on my Matchless that has been neglected for a while. Here is the first ounce of singles.
