Tree Hugger

Our next stop on the way home was through the Redwoods on the northern California coast just north of Eureka.  There were quite a few winding roads and then boom!  Redwoods all around blocking out the light even though it was a warm sunny day.
It was surprisingly humid in the forest and on the way out, the temperature gradually warmed until it got to at least 111 degrees as measured by the car temperature gauge.

When we arrived back in Sacramento, it was 108 degrees and what a big difference it was from Alaska.
