Blending Camel and Cashmere

When I was in class with Judith MacKenzie at Black Sheep Gathering, she showed us how to blend fibers to extend some small amounts of fiber.  She provided us with some cashmere/silk blend and I had some baby camel that I got from spinning class.


Judith demonstrated a blending technique with hand cards and I was able to card together the cashmere/silk and the baby camel.

The blend extended the fiber quite a bit.  I was able to get 104 yards in a 2-ply lace weight from the blend.
